At Swallowdale the school day starts at a slightly different time for KS1 and KS2 so that parents with children in both key stages can stagger arrival times.
In KS1 the children are greeted by the teaching staff and enter the building at 8.50am. However, in KS2 the staff are out to meet the children off the playground at 8.35a.m.
The morning is split into register time, small group intervention and then one teaching session before break and another after break.
Break time is 15 minutes in both key stages and is either followed or preceded by a daily act of worship in the small or large hall.
Lunch is then at 12.00 noon until 1.10p.m.
After lunch the children have the afternoon session until the end of the day.
In KS1 the children finish at 3.05p.m. and in KS2 the children finish at 3.10p.m.
